On the occasion of 3daysofdesign 2023, our Flagship Store in Bredgade, Copenhagen, is transformed into the House of Craft. Inhabited by novelties from Hans J. Wegner, Kaare Klint, Poul Kjærholm, and Vilhelm Lauritzen, we invite you to explore furniture pieces amidst a series of wood sculptures to celebrate the exceptional craftsmanship, materials and timeless design that defines us.

The exhibition embraces the vision of our designers brought to life by our carpenters and weavers from our factory in Funen, Denmark.

Craft is the luxury of modern times. The amount of time and thought put into a piece in terms of expertise, design, and innovation adds to the preciousness of owning an original piece with lasting qualities.

Alongside the furniture we invite you to explore a series of wood sculptures in the Wonders of Wood exhibition, showcasing Carl Hansen & Søn’s long relationship with wood and the appreciation of this wondrous material that runs in our DNA.

SCULPTURE WORKSHOP

Create your own mini sculpture with excess material from the Carl Hansen & Søn factory. Carpenters from The Lab – the Carl Hansen & Søn apprentice program, will assist the workshop.

Discover our House of Craft in the Carl Hansen & Søn Flagship Store including novelties and the Wonders of Wood gallery by wood sculptor Nicholas Shurey.
